Terms of use
Last updated: 8 October 2026
These terms are between you and the people who run Tandem, Gregg Finn and Adam Angel ("we", "us"). By using Tandem you agree to them.
Who can use Tandem
You must be 18 or over, and use your real name and a photo of yourself. One account per person.
Meeting people safely
Tandem helps you find people to train with. We don't vet users, supervise sessions, or check routes or meeting points.
- Meet in public places, and tell someone where you're going.
- Train within your own ability. Physical activity carries risk; check with a doctor if you're unsure.
- You are responsible for your own safety and for deciding whether to meet someone.
- If someone makes you feel unsafe, leave, then block and report them in the app. In an emergency, call the local emergency number.
Community rules
- Be respectful. No harassment, threats, hate or unwanted advances.
- Be honest about your pace and what you're planning.
- Show up, or leave the session in time for others to know. Show-up rate is part of your profile.
- Only post photos you have the right to share, and of people who are happy to be in them.
- No spam, selling, or using Tandem to recruit for something else.
We may remove content, limit features or close accounts that break these rules.
Your content
You own what you post: your profile, messages and photos. You give us permission to store it and show it to other people on Tandem as the app is designed to (for example, your photos to the people in that session). This ends when you delete it or your account.
Our service
We're building Tandem and it will change. We may add or remove features and we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. During the beta, expect rough edges.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.
Liability
Tandem is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for what happens between people who meet through Tandem, for injury during training, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
